D23 holds Fan Artist Contest 2013

In honor of the 50th anniversary of Mary Poppins, D23 is holding a Fan Art Contest for its members.

Some of the finalists will have their art work displayed in the Fan Art Gallery at D23 Expo 2013, from Aug. 9-11 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif.

This is the third fan art contest D23 has sponsored.

The first contest was in 2009 during the first Expo. Jennifer Sleeper won for her 75th anniversary portrait of Donald Duck. In 2011, the Fan Art contest was the in honor of the 50th anniversary of One Hundred and One Dalmatians. The winner was Patrick Johnson's "Tiki de Vil."

The contest is only open to D23 members. The application can be downloaded here. The deadline for submission is April 1.
