A fun easy ride heading down Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland is the trolley. It gives the old time feeling as you sit down and are pulled by a horse. But did you ever wonder how the horse was trained? We all know Disney is picky when hiring its cast members.
In this video, Disney explains how this one Belgian Draft horse, Owen, who weighs about 2,200 pounds, is trained to become a Disneyland horse. First he is worked with off on a ranch and then in the early morning hours he gets accustomed to the park and practices pulling the street car down Main Street.
