Disney movies scheduled for 2013

Superheroes, fairy tales and Walt Disney are the subject of a slew of movies scheduled to be released in 2013 by the Walt Disney Pictures and and all of its subsidiaries.

This includes new Iron Man and Thor movies and a couple of prequels with "Oz The Great and Powerful" and "Monster's University."

Here are the scheduled release dates:

Oz The Great and Powerful

Directed by Sam Raimi, the movie imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum's book series. Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a circus magician is taken by a story from Kansas to the Land of Oz he thinks he has got it all - fame and fortune. That is until he finds himself meeting the three witches, Theodora ( Mila Kunis),  Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams) who are not convinces he is the great wizard everyone is expecting. He must find out who is good and who is evil before it's too late.

Iron Man 3

Travers (Emma Thompson) travels from London to Hollywood in 1961 to finally discuss Disney’s desire to bring her beloved character to the motion picture screen (a quest he began in the 1940s as a promise to his two daughters), Disney meets a prim, uncompromising sexagenarian not only suspect of the impresario’s concept for the film, but a woman struggling with her own past. During her stay in California, Travers’ reflects back on her childhood in 1906 Australia, a trying time for her family which not only molded her aspirations to write, but one that also inspired the characters in her 1934 book.
