This week in the Disney Universe: Oct 7 - Oct. 13

A portion of Hollywood Studios at Disney World will be shut down starting this week so the Osborne Family Lights can be installed and Boyz II Men, Smash Mouth and Javier Colon are scheduled to perform as part of the "Eat the Beat" concert series at Epcot.

OCTOBER 8-18: Starcade in Disneyland closed for refurbishment.

OCTOBER 8 - NOVEMBER 16:  The Studio Backlot and American Film Institute at Hollywood Studios are closed for refurbishment.

Replica of Disneyland Haunted Mansion up for sale

Did you ever want to own and live in The Haunted Mansion in Disneyland?

Well you can, sort of.

The real Disneyland Haunted Mansion,

A Duluth man is selling a replica of the Haunted Mansion attraction he built complex with seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, an in-law/nanny suite and and an upstairs guest suite. The 10,000 square foot home is four stories and comes with a hot tub. It also comes with one ghost. He probably didn't have room for the 998 others since this is a fully functional house.

The house is being sold through Theme Park Connection, which specializes in buying and selling rare Disney items.

The house is up for sale by the owner and designer Mark Hurt, a Disney contractor. He built the house in 1996 and matched the dimensions of the architectural structure with the real Haunted Mansion.

The details mentioned in the listing are amazing. He actually was able to measure the real Haunted Mansion to get the idea of the size. He located the foundry Walt Disney used to make the iron details for the original house and had them make the iron for his house. He was so particular on the exterior the roof has four faux smoke stacks to match the original. He even has The Haunted Mansion sign on one of the post of the exterior of the building.

According to the listing, "The home is no stranger to parties as it has hosted many themed parties and even two weddings. Mark said that the neighbors would ask to come into the house on Halloween because of a specially themed bathroom that is featured on the 1st floor. In this bathroom, Mark created an actual animated ghost scene. By secrets only known by Theme Park Connection, when you are washing your hands, the lights start to flicker and the Haunted Mansion attraction music sounds and to your surprise a ghost appears in the mirror."

Hurt is selling the home to move on to more ambitious projects, according to the website.

Hollywood Studios at Disney World now has Wi-Fi service for guests

Disney World is now offering Wi-Fi service at Hollywood Studios, according to a report by wdwmagic.com.

Disney World has been rolling out Wi-Fi throughout the resort. The WDW resorts , Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Typhoon Lagoon already have it in place. With Hollywood Studios being activated, the only places left are the Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney.

To get on to the network, all that has to be done is to select "Disney-Guest" and accept the terms.  

The Wi-Fi helps people not only keep better connected with their own social media, but also helps with the Disney mobile app, which provides wait times and FastPass return times as well as the push from Disney for more social media and other interactions at the parks.

Disney releases detail photos of New Fantasyland in Disney World

Disney has posted some new detail photos of the new Be Our Guest Restaurant and the exterior of the new Under The Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid in the New Fantasyland at Walt Disney World on its publicity website.

The grand opening of the New Fantasyland is Dec. 6.

SEPHORA and Disney have teamed up for a series of beauty collections inspired by beloved Disney Princess characters.

Called theDisney Reigning Beauties, these are limited edition collection

The first, of course, is a tie-in with the release of Cinderella on Blu-Ray.

Disneyland announces Holiday events for 2012

Disneyland has announced what it's planning on doing for this Holiday season.

We previously reported that Disneyland will be expanding its Candlelight Processional this year and will run Dec. 3-20.

According to the Disneyland website the following other events will take place at Disneyland and the California Adventure.

At Disneyland:

• Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle will shimmer with icicles and lights.
• The "Believe... In Holiday Magic" fireworks show returns.
• "it's a small world" Holiday also returns.
• The Christmas Fantasy Parade features Santa.
• Real reindeer can be seen at Santa's Reindeer Roundup in Frontierland.
• Jack Skellington still is in charge of the Haunted Mansion Holiday.

At Disney California Adventure:

• Buena Vista Street will be decked out in vintage style.
• Cars Land will feature holiday decorations.
• The Mad T Party all have a wintertime special vibe.
• A bugs land holiday decor
• Phineas and Ferb's Rockin' Rollin' Dance Party: Holiday Edition returns.
